Museu Tiradentes (Tiradentes Museum)
Headquartered in the Palacete Provincial, a historic building that since 1892 was the seat of the Military Police Command, the Tiradentes Museum is dedicated to telling the story of the Military Corporation of the State of Amazonas from its earliest days to the present day. The 'gun room' in the former Military Police Station - as the building became known - was the original nucleus of the collection. From its collection, it stands out the original furniture, diverse equipment, armaments, uniforms, besides the audiovisual collections - that preserves records of important moments of the Corporation like the festivities - and photographic. The Tiradentes Museum is housed in the Palacete Provincial Cultural Center, which includes four other museums: the Bernardo Ramos Numismatic Museum, the Archaeological Museum, the State Gallery of Amazonas and the Museum of Image and Sound of Amazonas.
