<p><em>Museu Giramundo</em> (<em>Giramundo</em> Museum)</p>
<p>Since its opening in 2001, the museum exhibits to visitors the entire collection of <em>Giramundo</em> puppetry theatre company established in 1970. Besides the puppets, there are on display sets, photographs, films, audio, drawings and technical projects from the artists Álvaro Apocalypse, Terezinha Veloso Apocalypse and Maria do Carmo Vivacqua Martins, which served as research and basis for the construction of approximately 40 plays produced by the company. The puppets were exhibited for the first time in 1993 at the <em>Palacio das Artes</em> (Fine Arts Palace) in <em>Belo Horizonte</em> and the public’s response was so enthusiastic that it became a permanent exhibition.  </p>
