Museu Ferroviário (Railway Museum)

Opened in 1982, the Museu Ferroviário (Railway Museum) contributes to the recovery and preservation of the memory of Paraná’s railway system, whose history begins in 1885 with the opening of the stretch between the cities of Curitiba and Paranaguá. With a collection of over 600 pieces, the museum reconstitutes environments common to stations such as the box office, the telegraph room and the boarding platform. In this scenario, books, watches, phones and interior objects of locomotives as luggage compartment, locks, lamps and typewriters recreate and transport visitors to the old train station in Curitiba. The Museu Ferroviário (Railway Museum) is located in the Shopping Estação (Station Shopping Mall), which also houses the Museu das Farmácias (Museum of Pharmacy) and the Teatro de Marionettes (Puppet Theater).
