Museu de Arqueologia
Museu de Arqueologia (Museum of Archeology)
Created in 2009, the Museum of Archeology holds pieces of pottery and pottery, as well as other archaeological artifacts representative of the indigenous history and culture of the State of Amazonas. Some of the exhibits are true relics that send visitors back to the 300's and even 400 BC. Among these precious objects, a furniture statuette of a figure with animal and human features gains evidence in the exhibition room. The image, of immeasurable importance, was carved and polished into a single block of soapstone and is linked to the Tapajonic culture. The Museum of Archeology is housed in the Palacete Provincial Cultural Center, which includes four other museums: the Bernardo Ramos Numismatic Museum, the Tiradentes Museum, the State Gallery of Amazonas and the Museum of Image and Sound of the Amazon.
