Museum Abelardo Rodrigues
Headquartered at the Solar Ferrão Cultural Center, the Abelardo Rodrigues Museum was inaugurated in 1981 and houses one of the most significant collections of sacred art in Brazil. Formed by more than 800 objects gathered by the Pernambuco collector Abelardo Rodrigues (1908-1971), his collection preserves a collection of works representative of the history of sacred art in Brazil with pieces dating from the 17th to the 20th century, conceived in different materials. A collection of religious sculptures made up of national pieces from Europe and the Orient, as well as the variety of objects - such as crucifixes, sacred furniture and oratories - denote the uniqueness of the collection.
