Memorial Irmã Dulce (Sister Dulce Memorial)
Conceived by her family members, friends and admirers, Memorial Irmã Dulce (Sister Dulce Memorial) was opened in 1993 and its construction was made possible by donations from the community and entrepreneurs. Installed in the Convento Santo Antônio (Convent Saint Anthony), the Memorial presents striking facts of the trajectory of the nun from Bahia and emphasizes her full commitment to projects and works of social nature. Apart from personal objects, photographs, documents and her bedroom – containing the chair in which she slept for more than 30 years because of a promise – the visit to the Memorial includes the Capela das Relíquias (Chapel of the Relics) at the Santuário da Bem-aventurada Dulce dos Pobres (Sanctuary of the Blessed Dulce of the Poor) where, since June 2010, lies Sister Dulce's grave.
